Custom Ribbon with Harry and Meghan

When Taronga Zoo launched their world class Taronga Institute of Science & Learning last October, they came to us for the custom printed ribbon (of course!) and went straight to the Palace for the scissor handlers – the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (aka Harry and Meghan). Ribbon and royals – sounds like a perfect match!

And it truly is – this ribbon cutting ceremony not only put the royals front and centre, but focused the attention of the world’s media for a moment on the branded ribbon and what it represents – the opening of a purpose-built research and education centre and houses the largest conservation science team of any zoo in the southern hemisphere. The Institute’s mandate to spearhead change for wildlife and the environment meant starting with an impressive ribbon cutting ceremony attended by VIPs and media to draw attention to the needs that exists and the plans that the Institute has for change.

Opening ceremonies and ribbon cutting events have been used by Taronga Zoo for several years now, because they can plan an event to highlight the important work they’re doing, generate conversations in the community, build relationships with VIPs and influencers, and create media buzz. The media may come for the Sussexes, but they won’t leave until the ribbon is cut!
We are honoured that Taronga Zoo have chosen us to supply the custom printed ribbon for their ribbon cutting ceremonies and grand openings. The work they do is vital for the future and will enhance and expand Taronga Zoo’s role as a leader in conservation science for wildlife and habitats.
