Ribbon has always been used as a symbol for fighting for something greater than yourself: from a favour from a maiden tied to a knight’s arm, to the specially woven ribbons used for medals for valour.
As Napoleon is reputed to have said, “A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of coloured ribbon,” so it’s not surprising that in more recent times ribbons have become symbolic of other types of battles. Today, awareness ribbons worn on the lapel are used around the world to make a statement of support for a particular cause. It also enables charities to fundraise in a way that is cost effective but at the same time raises awareness of their organisation.
We have partnered with many charities and community organisations to create awareness ribbons for them.
We use our highest quality European double sided satin ribbon in 10mm or 15mm width (we have about 25 colours to choose from), print the required message on the ribbon and supply the completed awareness ribbon with a pin.
For an additional cost, many clients are fixing their awareness ribbons to small cards (55mm x 90mm) which include a message about the charity or organisation, contact details, information about research, or how the funds raised will be used. We mock these up for you, print and assemble them for you, with or without poly bag packaging.
Our minimum order for awareness ribbons is 1,000 units and our turn around time is about 8 to 10 days from artwork approval. We are always happy to send out free samples of our lapel pins on request.
